Recipes to ingnite your Spleen Qi

So we’ve already talked about why it is so important to fire-up your spleen qi (it’s here if you missed it); now here are some super easy ways to do this … and get a tummy full of goodness!

The ultimate breakfast!
3/4 cup organic rolled oats
1/4 cup chopped dates, Chinese red dates, or apple
1 tbsp LSA mix (linseed, sunflower, almond)/Chia seeds
1 scoop WPC (whey protein concentrate powder – this is a great tonic, high in immunoglobulins also!)
1 tsp cinnamon
Rice milk
Grated ginger (optional)
Honey/molasses to taste

Soak the oats overnight in water or rice milk. In the morning, add warm water or rice milk and the remaining ingredients, then mix all the ingredients together and serve.  A quick, tasty, nutritious and cheap breakfast!

Rice, chicken and vegies
1 cup organic, Australian-grown basmati rice
2 cups chicken stock
Organic free-range chicken breasts
Vegetables (in a variety of colours)

Steam rice in stock in a rice cooker, stir-fry vegetables and BBQ chicken breasts. Shred cooked chicken before serving.
Note: Foreign-grown rice is fumigated when imported and is therefore a dead food, unlike Australian-grown rice, which will actually seed when planted.

Congee (rice porridge)
1 cup organic, Australian-grown basmati rice
2 cups stock
Organic free-range meat (beef/chicken/seafood)
Vegetables (in a variety of colours)
Aromatics (onion/ginger/garlic)

Add stock, rice, vegies, meat, onion, ginger and garlic to a deep saucepan and simmer with the lid on for a couple of hours. The cooked consistency should be thick and runny like porridge.

Savoury mince wraps
Organic, lean mince
Legumes (beans/lentils)
Vegetables (in a variety of colours)
Aromatics (onion/ginger/garlic/spices)
Mountain bread (flat bread)

Cook aromatics, mince, legumes and vegetables together in large frying pan. Lay lettuce on flat bread, add mince mixture and roll up.
