Rod Williams has been self-employed full-time in private clinical practice since 2004. He has chosen a path of continual refinement to his clinical approach, which has allowed him to work with many of the elite strength athletes in the country. He is double degree qualified in osteopathy and acupuncture, government registered, accredited, insured, and has private health fund rebates available.
Rod began his career in the health industry as a strength coach and successfully competed in powerlifting, before transitioning to clinical practise. This sparked a passion for understanding how the body moves. His first-hand experience as an athlete approaching the physical and mental challenges of injury, competition and training, challenged Rod to find effective solutions to injury, recovery, pain and performance optimisation.
After graduating from the Australian College of Natural Medicine with a 4 year Bachelor of Health Science, Rod went on to complete Advanced Acupuncture Studies, interning in multiple hospitals in China.
A burning desire to improve clinical efficacy, and his dedication to continual learning, has lead Rod to participate in ongoing post graduate studies with many internationally renowned clinicians over the last 13 years, including acclaimed Sports Medicine Acupuncture founder Matt Callison, specialising in sports and orthopedic assessment and treatment approaches.
Currently, Rod is completing Osteopathic studies at Southern Cross University.
